It is one of the famous tourist destination spot in Kerala. Aleppy beach is also known as Alppuzha beach. Arabian sea is lies on the west of the beach. Large network of lakes, lagoons, and several fresh water rivers are also located nearby the beach which adds the scenic beauty of the beach. The beach is famous for the busiest coast of the entire Kerala. There is a light house located in the beach and was built by Captain Hugh Crawford in 1862. This 1000 ft high light house was to assist and help boats arriving on this beach for business purpose. Today the tourists visiting this beach can witness the nostalgia of this light house. Due to decayed structure of light house Government restricted the entry inside the light house. Another attraction of aleppy beach is an ancient pier that is about 140 years old is also located nearby. There is various amusement facilities for children. A childrens park located nearby the beach. It offers swimming and boating facilities.

By air: : Cochin International airport about 85kms away from the North of Alppuzha.

By rail: Nearest railway station is Alappuzha railway station about 5km from the beach.
