moppila bay

Moppila bay is the famous natural fishing harbor located near St Angelo’s fort. On one the side of the bay is St Angelo’s fort and on the other side Arakkal Palace. It is one of the natural beach and whose fishing harbor was built with the assistance under the indo Norwegian pact. A sea wall projecting from the fort separates the rough sea and inland water. The parts of the temple and fort are still seen the Moppila bay. During the period of Kolathiri’s this place is famous for commercial harbor that linked Kolathunadu with Lakshadweep and foreign countries. The riding through sea is a wonderful experience if weather is favourable
