Echo point, located at a 15kms distance from Munnar at an altitude of 600ft above the sea, is a haven for bird watchers positioned between Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Lake, on the way to Top Station.This is a major spot in Munnar admist rolling hills. The name of the place refers to the natural echo phenomenon here. The rare Neelakurinji flowers that bloom once every 12 years enhances the beauty of the valley and makes the place even more appealing and special. 
              Trekking and nature walks are the popular activities in this panoramic destination along with boating, bird watching and photography. Be it a peaceful stroll around the hill slopes, or a trek to the hilltop, this spot is a paradise for junkies. The best time to visit Munnar is during the winter and summer seasons.
                The Echo point is stationed on the Top Highway road in The Idukki district of the Kannan Devan hills and is around 17.2kms from the city centre. A private car or taxi is procurable from the city centre. Since local transportation system in Munnar is not very advanced, it is advisable to hire a car to get to this spot. The nearest railway station is 100kms from Munnar and the nearest airport is Cochin International Airport which is 110kms away. The Top Station, Mattupetty Dam and Anamudi Peak are possible tourist spots worthy of notice near the Echo point.
